Overview
Fine Arts Summer Camp is one of Coda’s most popular programs, alive with music, art, and drama for Littles (ages 4–6), Kidz (ages 7–11), and Teens (ages 12–17). Nearly 200 students join the fun each year, and need-based scholarships make sure everyone can take part in the excitement.
Students dive into a wide range of creative disciplines including choir, strings, chamber and orchestra groups, guitar, bluegrass instruments, ukulele, drums, and voice. Instruments are loaned for the week so that every student has the opportunity to play. Drama and visual arts round out the experience, offering space to imagine, create, and perform.
Themes, Performances, and Impact
Each week of camp is centered around a creative theme that shapes performances and inspires imagination. Students embrace the theme through music, art, and storytelling, culminating in highly anticipated concerts that draw families and community members. These performances are joyful celebrations of hard work, creativity, and growth, often filling the building and parking lot with energy and excitement.
More than a music or arts camp, Fine Arts Summer Camp builds confidence, teamwork, and a lasting love of the arts. It is a place where creativity flourishes, community forms, and students discover what they are capable of achieving.

(ages 4–6)
The Fine Arts Littles camp typically runs for about 3 days and is designed especially for younger children with half-day programming that fits their energy and attention span. Breakfast is available at 8:30am, with camp running from 9:00am to 12:30pm each day. Over the three days, students enjoy introductory music lessons, choir, rhythm activities, and hands-on arts and crafts in a playful, nurturing environment. A daily snack is also provided to keep those little brains fueled! Please note that busing is not available for Littles camp.

(ages 7–11)
The Fine Arts Kidz camp usually takes place over 6 days (check-in on a Sunday afternoon with the final concert on a Friday evening), offering a full-day creative experience. Each day begins with breakfast at 8:00am, followed by worship at 8:30am, and camp activities running from 9:00am to 2:00pm. The camp offers a deeper exploration of the arts with classes including choir, strings, guitar, bluegrass instruments, ukulele, drums, and voice lessons, using instruments provided for the week so everyone can participate. Drama and visual arts add even more opportunities to create and express themselves. A meal and busing are provided, allowing students to fully engage in a rich, immersive camp experience.

(ages 12–17)
The Fine Arts Teens camp typically runs also for 6 days (check-in on a Sunday afternoon and the final concert on a Friday evening) and serves beginners through intermediate and early advanced students. Each day begins with breakfast at 8:00am, followed by worship at 8:30am, and camp activities running from 9:00am to 4:00pm. Class offerings include choir, strings, guitar, bluegrass instruments, ukulele, drums, and voice lessons, along with chamber music at multiple levels and, in some years, orchestra. Instruments are provided for the week for students who do not have their own, ensuring everyone can participate fully. Teens may also participate in a woodworking class where they build simple instruments such as thumb pianos, wooden kazoos, and basic string instruments. Meals and busing are provided, creating a structured, creative environment that supports both artistic growth and community.
