Overview
Coda Unplugged is a unique extension of the Coda Inspire after-school program, created through a special partnership with Pinheads Bowling Alley. While Unplugged is one of Inspire’s class offerings, it is presented as a standalone program to highlight its focus on device-free connection and community engagement. Every Monday, students are bused to Pinheads for an afternoon of bowling, board games, crafts, and creative activities that encourage movement, problem-solving, and fun without screens.
Connection Without Screens
At Coda Unplugged, relationships are at the center of the experience. Coda staff join students on the lanes and around the tables, wearing shirts that read, “You are important to us,” as a visible reminder of the care and attention each child receives. Staff bowl alongside students, take part in games and crafts, and spend time listening and encouraging, helping students feel seen, heard, and valued.
For many students, Unplugged becomes a highlight of the week and a place where they can truly belong. In a safe and supportive environment, students build friendships, practice teamwork, and develop confidence through shared experiences and laughter. The joy and connection formed during these afternoons extend far beyond the bowling alley and into students’ daily lives.
